Visit to Erma gorge.

One of the finest rural sceneries in Western Bulgaria is the Trun route. The town is situated near the Serbian border in the picturesque mountain Rui. The river Erma is separating Trun in two parts and the  most beautiful area is the gorge of the river located 3km away from the town. The gorge is 3km long with 650m altitude. At some cases the gorge is 5 m wide and the rocks are quite steep and some of them vertical. There are few wooden bridges on the river, which offers great nature views. There is an eco trail with 13km length, which partly will be visited during the tour.

Visit to Zemen Monastery.

Zemen monastery is one of the most beautiful orthodox monasteries in Bulgaria. It`s surrounded by mountains on one of the banks of river Struma. The monastery was ruined few times and rebuilt again. The old monastery church from 11th century is a masterpiece of Medieval Christian architecture and art. The murals depicted on the walls from 14th century are the biggest rich of the complex and represent numerous biblical scenes. In late 60s of the 20th century the church was declared a monument of culture and in 2004 the monastery became a museum under the hood of the National History Museum.

Tour duration is approximate 8 hours and ends behind Alexander Nevski Cathedral (beginning of Oborishte street).
