Landmarks

Sofia is a city with many layers and dimensions. Among all objects there are a few that stand out - with beauty, spirit, historical importance. Those places of interest are a must for every visitor of this fascinating city.

Most famous of Sofia's landmarks is, no doubt, the cathedral dedicated to Alexander Nevski - symbol of the gratitude of all Bulgarian people toward the Russian "brothers-liberators". Close by it are situated the most interesting landmarks in the compact historic center of Sofia, combining many buildings-monuments of culture, archeological excavations from the Antiquity and modern entertainment venues. Outside of this beautiful heart of the Bulgarian capital are many more enchanting places - Boyana Church, National Historical Museum, Dragalevtsi Monastery to name a few.
