National Museum Earth and Man

The National Museum Earth and Man opened in 1986. In its area of 5 500 square meters visitors may see a collection of minerals collected from 109 countries. It is an unique mineralogical museum that keeps more than 20 000 samples collected all over the world.
On the first floor, visitors enjoy the giant crystal exhibit, including crystals rarely encountered in nature as tall as these are. Visitors may view most of Bulgaria’s minerals on the museum’s second floor. Here are 291 minerals found in Bulgaria, exhibited by regions.
